The services we use
We use outside companies to run parts of our business. Each has its own privacy policy, and we recommend reading them.

Our ticketing platform at tickets.txcardshows.com, which processes ticket orders and payments.
-
Beehiiv, which sends our email newsletters and records opens and clicks.
-
Google Analytics, which measures website traffic and behavior.
-
Meta Pixel and Meta advertising tools, which measure ad performance and let us show ads to people likely to be interested in our shows. This includes custom and lookalike audiences created from email addresses of past customers, which are transmitted to Meta in hashed form.

Wix, which hosts our websites.
-
Payment processors, accountants, venues, and security contractors, who receive only what they need to do their part.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, when we need to respond to legal process, when it is necessary to protect the safety of attendees or staff, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.
What we do not do
-
We do not sell your personal information for money.
-
We do not rent or trade our attendee list to other event promoters.
-
We do not use automated profiling to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
-
We do not collect biometric data, precise geolocation, or sensitive personal data as defined by Texas law.
Under Texas law, sharing information with advertising platforms for targeted advertising can be treated as a "sale" even when no money changes hands. We are telling you plainly that this sharing happens, and you can opt out below.
Your choices
-
Email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Transactional messages about a ticket you bought will still reach you.
-
Cookies. Your browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking them may break parts of the ticket checkout.
-
Ad tracking. Meta's ad preference controls are in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Most mobile devices also have a system-level setting to limit ad tracking, and most browsers send a Global Privacy Control signal that we honor as an opt-out request.
-
Targeted advertising opt-out. Email hello@txcardshows.com with "OPT OUT" in the subject and we will remove you from advertising audiences we control.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
-
Know whether we process your personal data and get a copy of it.
-
Correct information that is wrong.
-
Delete information we hold about you.
-
Opt out of targeted advertising and of any sharing treated as a sale.
-
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not charge you more or refuse you entry for it.
To make a request, email hello@txcardshows.com. We will respond within 45 days and may take one 45 day extension if the request is complex, in which case we will tell you. We may need to verify your identity, usually by confirming details of a past order. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.
If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will respond to the appeal within 60 days, and if we deny it, we will tell you how to complain to the Texas Attorney General.
Children
Kids are welcome at our events. Our websites are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. Tickets for minors are purchased by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 gave us information online, email us and we will delete it.
How long we keep things
Order and vendor records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, generally seven years. Email subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe, and we periodically remove addresses that have not engaged in a long time. Website analytics are kept on the retention schedule of the platform collecting them. Incident reports are kept as long as they are relevant to attendee safety, including for enforcing bans.
Security
We use reputable vendors, limit access to customer data to the people who need it, and rely on our ticketing and email platforms for payment security and encryption. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top will tell you when. Material changes will be announced by email to our subscribers.
