Sting, real name Steve Borden, is an American professional wrestler widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time and the defining icon of WCW.

Debuting in 1985, he became "The Franchise" of WCW, winning his first NWA World Heavyweight Championship in 1990 and going on to hold the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times. In 1996 he traded his colorful surfer persona for the silent, black-and-white face-painted "Crow" character, descending from the rafters with a baseball bat as WCW's lone holdout against the invading New World Order, a storyline that culminated in his headlining Starrcade 1997 against Hulk Hogan. 

He spent eleven years with TNA, where four world title reigns made him the only wrestler to hold NWA, WCW, and TNA world championships, then joined WWE in 2014, debuting at Survivor Series and earning induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016. 

Sting signed with AEW in 2020 and closed his career on March 3, 2024, at AEW Revolution, retiring undefeated in the promotion and holding the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Darby Allin. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he racked up 26 championships across four decades and was named Most Popular Wrestler of the Year four times.
