Raymond Cruz created one of television's great villains in about a season and a half of screen time. As Tuco Salamanca in Breaking Bad, he was unpredictable, funny, and genuinely frightening in a way almost nothing else on the show managed, and the character became such a fan favorite that he returned to originate Tuco all over again in the first season of Better Call Saul.

Long before Albuquerque, he was Chuey in Blood In Blood Out, the 1993 epic that has become one of the most quoted and most beloved films in Chicano cinema, and he showed up as the sniper Sniper in Training Day opposite Denzel Washington. His film credits also include Clear and Present Danger, Alien Resurrection, The Rock, Under Siege, and Havoc.

On television he played Detective Julio Sanchez for eleven seasons across The Closer and Major Crimes, one of the longest single-character runs on cable drama, along with appearances in 24, Nip/Tuck, and My Name Is Earl. He is a Los Angeles native and a genuinely gracious guest.
