David J. Fielding
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid

"Rangers, you are needed." David J. Fielding was the face and the original voice of Zordon, the towering head in the tube who created the Power Rangers and guided them through the show that defined kids television in the 1990s. He performed the role on screen and voiced it through the entire first season, and his likeness stayed on as the face of Zordon for the full run of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
He was there before the beginning. In the original unaired pilot version of "Day of the Dumpster," the character was called Zoltar, and Fielding played him then too, footage that fans eventually saw as "The Lost Episode."
He holds two degrees in acting, a BFA from Texas State and an MFA from the University of Pittsburgh, and has worked across film, television, stage, and video games, lending his voice to Empire Earth, Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna, Sanitarium, and Anvil of Dawn. He returned to Zordon in 2019 for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid and later narrated Bloodline of the Grid. He is also a published author with a dozen short stories in anthologies and the Lincoln Bright novel series.
